Beware and be extra careful specially the spam mails that are sent as legitimate job offers. There are thousands of fraudsters asking to send bank details, personal info and even funds. DO NOT send any such info.

1. After responding to the job ad, the company wants job seekers to give up highly personal information via email. Unfortunately, many legitimate companies are beginning to ask for highly personal information from job applicants via email. This makes it more difficult to weed out the scams. In general, never give up bank account information, credit card information, or physical details about eye color, height, hair color, etc.
2. A company asks for SSN or bank account information via email.
3. The company is less than one year old.
4. The website for the company that is indicated by the sender’s email address doesnot exist or is “under construction.”
problem. When you find contradictory ownership information combined with a request for bank account numbers, consider the job ad a fraud and don’t respond to it.
6. Although it is not always an indicator of fraud, notably poor spelling throughout a job ad can tip you off that there may be a problem, especially when found in conjunction with other factors such as no Web site, etc. What to Do if You have Already Responded to the Macrocommerce Ad If any job seekers have received and responded to this email or company, we recommend that you take proactive steps to protect yourself from harm.
Beth Givens of the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse recommends that affected job seekers
take the following steps to combat this type of fraud:
1. Cancel the bank account in question.
2. Get a new account and put a password on your new account. Avoid using easilyguessed or discovered passwords. Mother’s maiden name, date of birth, SSN, andpets’ names are examples of weak passwords. Instead, make up a phrase that iseasy to remember. “A marathon run,” “notebook paper,” and other such simplephrases are much stronger passwords and provide more protection.
3. Watch all existing bank accounts very carefully in the coming months, and order a credit report. You may do this by calling the three credit reporting bureaus, Equifax at (800) 685-1111, Experian at (888) 397-3742, and TransUnion at (800) 888-4213.

4. If you believe your Social Security Number is compromised, you would typically place fraud alerts at the three credit bureaus. However, tis scam does not appear to compromise the SSN. If you wish, just to be on the careful side, you may still want to put fraud alerts on as a pro-active measure. That way if somebody attempts to obtain credit in your name you will be contacted by the credit issuer. Equifax at (800) 525-6285, Experian at (888) 397-3742, and TransUnion at (800) 888-4213.
5. If you decide not to put a fraud alert on your credit report, be sure to order your credit report in the next three months just to make sure that your financial identity has not been compromised.
6. Notify the Web site hosting the job about the scam. This way, they can take appropriate action by either removing the offending ad and/or making sure the person who posted the ad is no longer able to do so on their site.
7. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) by going to their website at www.ftc.gov and clicking the link in the upper navigation bar for File a Complaint or by calling the FTC at (877) 382-4357

8. File a complaint with the FBI’s Internet Fraud Complaint Center at www.ifccfbi.gov. For more detailed information about how to handle identity theft, please see Fact Sheet

The criminals often use the titles of genuine companies in their scam mailings. Some will appear below, but of course these companies have no relationship with the scammers, they are just another category of victim.
These pages carry a sizeable list of the names and titles attached to some of the criminally motivated junk mail you may have received. The criminals invent new identities every day but many of them use the techniques described here. Well done, you were right to be suspicious!!

BUT - Monster.com have pointed out that the scammers often use the Monster name to add credibility to their fraudulent offers. The criminals will also place fake job advertisements in local newspapers. If you become aware of these, please complain to the newspapers. You can let them know that they will probably not get paid for the space.

HOW LOTTERY SCAMS WORK
You receive an unsolicited email, which states that you have won a major prize in an international lottery. Supposedly, your email address was collected online and attached to a random number that was subsequently entered in a draw for the lottery. In order to claim your prize, you are instructed to contact the official "agent" in charge of your case. You are also advised to keep the win confidential for "security reasons". This part of the scam is basically a random phishing expedition. If you respond in any way to the email, the scammers will send further messages or even contact you by phone in an attempt to draw you deeper into the scam.
You may be asked to provide banking details, a large amount of personal information, and copies of your driver's licence and passport. Ostensibly, these requests are to prove your identity and facilitate the transfer of your winnings. However, if you comply with these requests, the scammers will have enough information to steal your identity.
Sooner or later, the scammers will request some sort of advance fee supposedly to cover administration, legal or delivery costs. At its core, this scam is just a reworking of the Nigerian loan fraud, in which scammers also eventually ask for upfront fees to facilitate the "deal". Like Nigerian scams, victims who do actually pay the requested fees will probably find that they receive continuing payment demands to cover "unexpected expenses". The requests for money will go on until the victim realizes what is happening or has no further money to send.
In some cases, the scammers give victims the option of opening an account at a particular bank as an alternative to paying upfront fees. However, this "bank" which is completely bogus, will insist on an initial deposit of $3000 as a requirement for opening the account. The fake bank will have a legitimate looking website to reinforce the scam. In other cases, the victim is given the option of travelling to an overseas destination and paying a cash fee to facilitate the release of the funds. However, any "winnings" released to the victim will be counterfeit and therefore worthless.
The details of the lottery scams vary regularly with regard to the name of the lottery itself, the country of origin, the sponsoring organization, the amount of the "prize" and other particulars. The scammers try to add a patina of legitimacy to their claims by mentioning real financial institutions, government departments or well-known companies. They may also provide links to slick looking, but fraudulent websites that are designed to back up information included in the scam emails. If the scammers are successful in establishing a dialogue with a potential victim, they may provide "proof" such as a scanned image of a supposed government official's ID and even photographs of the "winnings" in cash.
WHAT TO DO IF U RECEIVE A LOTTERY SCAM E - MAIL
If you receive one of these scam emails, it is important that you do not respond to it in any way. The scammers are likely to act upon any response from those they see as potential victims. Although it can be educational and even entertaining to "bait" these scammers, such endeavours should only be attempted under controlled conditions. The people who run these scams are criminals and could even resort to violence and intimidation to meet their aims. You should delete the email without replying. Before you delete the message, you might like to report the scam by forwarding the email to the address supplied on the FraudWatch International website.

Designing your Web Pages
Although there are many considerations in web design, as a beginner, your first step is to actually get something out onto the web. The fine-tuning can come after you've figured out how to get a basic web page onto your site. One way is to use a WYSIWYG ("What You See Is What You Get") web editor to do it. Such editors allow you to design your site visually, without having to muck around with the technical details. They work just like a normal wordprocessor.
There are many commercial and free web editors around. For those who don't mind spending money on a good commercial web editor, one of the most highly-regarded WYSIWYG web editors is 
If you prefer to use free software, you can find a complete tutorial on using KompoZer, a free WYSIWYG web editor, in the article . Testing Your Website
You will need to test your web pages as you design them in the major browsers: Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 6, the latest versions of and . Since all these browsers are free anyway, it should not be any hardship to get them and install them. The trick however, is testing with two versions of Internet Explorer since the later version will overwrite the earlier. For that, please see the article Although there are two possible ways given in the article, I suggest that you take use the emulator/virtual machine method to do this. (It's probably easier.) Making Money From Advertising
In reality, anyone with a website can get advertisers. While it is true that if your site is well-known, you may get companies contacting you to offer to advertise on your site, you can get advertising revenue even if you are just starting out and your site is relatively unknown.
The way to do this is to join as an "affiliate" of various sites, either directly, or through an affiliate network. An affiliate network is simply an intermediary where you can select from a variety of advertisers.

How To Choose An Affiliate Program
Another point to consider is whether you really want to join every single affiliate program that comes your way. Some studies suggest that sites that make the most money from affiliate programs are affiliates of only a small handful of programs. Furthermore, concentrating your advertisements from one network may allow you to be paid faster. If you advertise for hundreds of different affiliate networks on your site, you may wind up earning only (say) a few dollars per month from each network. If your advertiser's minimum payment amount is higher than what you can earn each month, it may take you a long time before you accrue enough to be paid.
On the other hand, that formula does not necessarily hold true for every site (or every page on your site, for that matter). For example, if your site has a particular theme, and an affiliate network only supports one or two suitable advertisers, you might want to sign up for a few affiliate networks so as to get a greater number of relevant advertisers. After all, advertisements that are relevant to your audience are more likely to be taken up than general advertisements.
